3 Axis Tomofraphey Analitical Holder
Q:What kind of movement does "3-axis" refer to?
A:It refers to movement along the X-axis, Y-axis, and rotation.
Q:Is it possible to adjust azimuthal rotation (in-plane rotation of the grid) inside the
TEM?
A:No, it is not possible to adjust it inside the TEM. Adjustment can only be perform
ed outside the column (main TEM body).
Q:Why is the sample rotation function important for tomography observation?
A:Normally, aligning the crystal orientation requires two axes (X tilt plus Y tilt or rot
ation). If tilting is performed only along the X axis, the crystal will deviate from t
he axis. Therefore, our holder system combines Y tilt with sample rotation, allowi
ng perfect alignment of the crystal orientation. This enables high-angle tilting a
nd the reconstruction of clear 3D structures
Q:Is a needle option available for the HATA holder?
A:The HATA holder has a detachable tip, allowing flexible configuration changes de
pending on the application. There is a cartridge type with an open front, in which
case an FIB grid must be used as a "needle." This enables data acquisition equiva
lent to that obtained with a dedicated needle option.
